19th May 2012 . Anand had achieved success by coming face to face with death during the final stage of climbing. Facing the death-zone of Everest: Everest dead zone is a place where temperatures lie between -50C to -60C, more than sufficient to freeze the bones, with scarcity of oxygen along with the dead bodies of many mountaineers who had died long back trying to reach the top of Everest. Anand finally reached the highest peak of the world on 19th May 2012 at 11.29 a.m. He cried like never before in his life.
